SKIMRANDE SVERIGE
-
In this programme, BrassUnit invites you on a musical journey through Sweden. Throughout the evening, we present exclusively Swedish music, from Taube’s familiar songs and simple folk melodies to the modern sound worlds of Sandström and Bo Nilsson.
Through the music, we encounter different sides of the Swedish musical landscape. From the familiar and deeply rooted in tradition to the innovative and unexpected. It is a journey through time, places, and musical expressions, where older traditions meet the musical language of our time.
BrassUnit is passionate about the rich musical tradition of our country and wants to share it with you. As part of the programme, we will also perform Landmarks, a newly written work by the eminent composer Eskil Kauppi, specially commissioned for BrassUnit and this tour. The piece adds a contemporary voice to the programme and allows us to discover yet another side of the Swedish musical landscape.
An evening where the familiar meets the new, with Swedish music taking centre stage.
