Oskar Back
Oskar Back is a Swedish trumpet player with a strong interest in chamber music, orchestral performance, and the development of the brass repertoire.
He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in trumpet at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, studying with Professor Reinhold Friedrich. Previously, he studied at the Malmö Academy of Music with Professor Håkan Hardenberger and Gustav Melander.
As a freelance trumpet player, Oskar regularly performs with professional orchestras and ensembles, including the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Malmö Opera, the Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe, and the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. Through these engagements, he has gained extensive experience within the orchestral repertoire and a wide range of musical settings.
As a musician, Oskar is deeply committed to musical communication and ensemble playing. He is passionate about exploring the expressive possibilities of the trumpet and creating new perspectives on the classical brass repertoire through both traditional works and contemporary music.
In addition to his career as a trumpet player, Oskar is also active in music production and project development, with experience in concert production, recording projects, and artistic collaborations.
